EDITION #15 VERVE MODERNE
CLINQ EDITION #15 takes its cues from the American variation of Art Deco, which was of course inspired by natural forms, a thread that has been running through our past few seasons. So it represents a natural continuation in synch with our approach of timeless editions that gently flow into each other.
Our season of new hair clips in particular pays hommage to the sleek lines of the American Legion Moderne Electric Home in Chicago of 1929 – a prime specimen of US Art Deco. It came to be known as the ‘Raffle House’ after it was auctioned in a public lottery which attracted thousands of citizens to draw a ticket at 50ct each and visit the house that promised all modern amenities, not to mention the incredible style of the building. The house was eventually awarded to a Mrs Morris, an elderly lady, and has been in private hands ever since.
As such, it represents everything we love: a unique and time-tested aesthetic that follows its own logic and not trends; a functionality that is applied to the everyday while also being mindful of beauty; and most certainly a good story.

CLINQ x OODD STUDIOS: OF PEBBLES AND STONES
OF PEBBLES AND STONES is the result of an ongoing exchange between CLINQ and OODD Studios, born out of mutual appreciation and shared interests in craftmanship and technology, functionality and style, the organic and the articifial, nature and design.
A collaboration always represents a meeting point of different perspectives, expressed here in opposites that embrace and complement each other: sharp edges versus natural forms, hard versus soft, shiny versus muted. Organic and uneven silhouettes of accessories are folded in clean spring steel, while a range of accompanying T-shirts transform hair clips into brooches. It is a matter of water versus stone, and everything else only a question of time.

Since our very first collection, all CLINQ styles have been named after women we admire. Scientists, writers, politicians, sportswomen, entrepreneurs, designers, activists, or simply women who achieved extraordinary things in their lifetime, often against all the odds and constraints of their time and society.
